Getting Started with VIM Cloud

The VIM Cloud platform enables you to generate detailed building information modeling (BIM) reports using Microsoft Power BI templates. You can use the sample VIM files and report templates provided, or you can upload your own VIM files and templates. The sample report templates contain over 35 different pre-configured Power BI report pages, including various level, mesh, material, and parameter audits. You can also view rendered VIM files and explore BIM data in the WebGL Viewer.

The procedures here are intended to get you started, but the VIM Cloud platform is intuitive to use, and you are encouraged to explore.

Before starting any of these procedures, you will need to sign up for a VIM Cloud account. A VIM Cloud account is free and includes 2.0 GB of file storage for you to upload VIM files and generate Power BI reports.
