📄️ Getting Started with VIM Cloud
The VIM Cloud platform enables you to generate detailed building information modeling (BIM) reports using Microsoft Power BI templates. You can use the sample VIM files and report templates provided, or you can upload your own VIM files and templates. The sample report templates contain over 35 different pre-configured Power BI report pages, including various level, mesh, material, and parameter audits. You can also view rendered VIM files and explore BIM data in the WebGL Viewer.
📄️ Uploading VIM Files
With a VIM Cloud account, you can upload VIM files, view them in the WebGL viewer, and generate Power BI reports.
📄️ Opening VIM Files
Using VIM Cloud you can view the rendered 3D project in the WebGL viewer and explore the BIM data in the Project Inspector.

📄️ Generating Power BI Reports
You can generate a report using the sample VIM files and report templates, or you can upload your own VIM files and templates. You can also create a custom report template by modifying an existing template in Power BI, and uploading the modified version to VIM Cloud. For information on creating VIM files, see Creating VIM Files from Revit or Creating VIM Files from IFC Files.
📄️ Viewing Power BI Reports
The sample Power BI templates provided with VIM Cloud are intended to illustrate the different types of data that can be extracted from VIM files. Depending on the VIM file used to generate the report, not all of the data types in the report template will be available.
