Troubleshooting
Export from Revit takes a long time or appears to freeze
You may experience unusually long processing times when exporting a VIM file from Revit. If your export is taking a significantly longer time, please try the steps below.

Close Revit

Delete the contents of the Temp directory:
C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Temp\You might be prompted to skip some files that are being used by other applications.

Restart your computer.

Close other applications which may be taking up memory.

Open Revit

Try exporting your VIM file again
Keep the Revit window focused while it's exporting (don't click on other windows). Changing focus away from the Revit window may de-prioritize the process in the operating system, making the export slower.
Application Logs
Errors which occur in the VIM Revit Exporter are logged in the following directory. There is one log file per version of Revit.
C:\Users\_username_\AppData\Local\Temp\VIM\Revit Exporter\Logs\
